Do eReaders Have A Big Enough Market?

I’d like this article to be one where I get a lot of feedback from the readers. I personally don’t know anybody who has actually bought themselves an eReader. I see it more as a luxury, rather than a necessity. I can easily see a tablet being a need, or at least a much higher want than an eReader.

I really don’t think there is a very high market for a device that strictly reads books. Maybe they could be more popular if tablets weren’t as cheap as they are now, but you can get a very good tablet nowadays for $200. To get a good eReader, you need to spend about $100 or more. Read more »

Well, Nintendo needed to do something. I really, really like this idea, too. Nintendo is opening conversion software to game developers ”so they can produce smartphone games that can be played on Wii U.” Nintendo hasn’t been a major competitor in the gaming community since the early years of the Wii, and they’ve been having some serious financial issues recently. YouTube Paid Subscriptions Could Unveil This Week

Whether you like it or not, paid subscriptions are a reality, and that reality is very close. Financial Times is reporting that YouTube might even reveal its paid subscriptions as early as this week. According to the report, there could be up to 50 channels, and the subscription prices will start at $1.99 per month.

I personally don’t understand why people are against paid subscriptions on YouTube. Your normal subscriptions aren’t going to all of a sudden switch to paid versions. OUTSTANDING!! WWDC 2013 tickets sold out in 2 minutes compared to 2 hours in 2012. I guess everyone wants to see WWDC 2013 really bad. Could it be the rumored iTV or the new iPhone 5S or 6?
